Jasper is a handsome 11-month-old Russian Tortoise that has been captive bred and thoughtfully raised with careful attention to nutrition, shell development, and long-term health. Now a thriving juvenile, Jasper has established a dependable feeding routine and continues to show steady, well-balanced growth.

As is typical for Russian Tortoises of this age, the sex has not yet been determined with confidence. Accurate sex identification generally becomes possible only after the tortoise reaches greater maturity.

Jasper has been introduced to a diverse, high-fiber grazing diet consisting of dandelion greens, broadleaf weeds, plantain, chicory, endive, clover, and other suitable vegetation. Calcium supplementation and proper UVB lighting have supported healthy bone development, strong shell formation, and excellent overall condition.

During daylight hours, Jasper enjoys exploring every part of the enclosure, grazing throughout the day, basking beneath the heat source, and retreating to shaded areas to regulate body temperature. His active daily routine, combined with symmetrical shell growth, firm shell structure, and healthy body condition, reflects the consistent husbandry provided since hatching.
