As is typical for Leopard Tortoises of this age, the sex has not yet been determined with confidence. Reliable sex identification generally becomes possible only after several years of healthy growth and maturity.

From an early age, Kalahari has been raised on a high-fiber, grass-based diet that includes orchard grass, timothy hay, dandelion greens, plantain, broadleaf weeds, hibiscus leaves, and other appropriate vegetation. Calcium supplementation and quality UVB lighting have supported strong bone development and smooth shell growth throughout the juvenile stage.

During the day, Kalahari spends time grazing, exploring the enclosure, basking beneath the heat source, and moving comfortably between sunny and shaded areas. This natural daily routine has helped develop strong muscle tone, healthy body weight, and excellent overall condition.
